 EPIC LOVE GUIDE

The first storybook I chose to write about was one from the Indian epics class called Epic Love Guide.

The design/layout fits the theme very well! The creator of this storybook made the layout very romantic in many ways including using colors like soft pinks and reds. They also added a photo in the banner that had a figure of a couple embracing each other. I enjoyed the introduction very much as well! They introduced the god of love Kama and his companion, Rati. Both gods introduce themselves and explain that they are there to guide you through your love decision so that you can achieve happiness in your love life. I also thought it was neat that they made the couple different like opposites almost as if they balance each other out.

In the Eyes of Shashthi

The second storybook I chose to write about was one from the Indian epics class called In the Eyes of Shasth

The layout and design was colorful and had a banner of of a tree with fruit. I thought that was a perfect detail to the storybook project because it is about the goddess of childbirth. It was fitting to me because trees are often thought of that way because they give fruit and other common sayings like the tree of life. The goddess of life, Shashthi, is introducing herself in the introduction portion and explaining her origin and one of her stories that was pretty interesting involving her cat.  I think the writer does an excellent job personifying the goddess as well! The goddess finishes the intro by letting the reader know she will be sharing her narration of birth stories.

Demigod Daycare

The third storybook I chose to write about was one from the mythology class called Demigod Daycare

I have always enjoyed Greek/Roman mythology so this one immediately caught my eye! The creators layout also fit well with the theme. It reminded me of disney font style for the lettering and they chose a baby blue color for the background which was nice touch! The introduction consisted of a daycare for demigod and they had special guest to tell them stories of birth/origins of famous goddesses. I liked how they used the Muses as the guest and storytellers. The interaction of the storytellers and the children were cute too! The details like " Now the boys’ eyes sparkled" which helped picture the interactions so much better and made the moments so sweet!
