 Life in the Forest

Yudihishthira lamented his destiny to the brahmins as he wandered toward the forest. our kingdom, our furtune, everything is lost to us. We have to now fight for our own lives our here in the forest with the man y reptiles and many wild hungry animals. we mucst live on the labor of our own produce.

Brahmin advised the rajah to pray upon the sun god and yudhishthira pray exclaiming the greatness of the sun god and the surya appeared before yud. and gave him a copper pot which was filled with food for his brethren. for twelve long years the pandavas lived in the woods with their wife drupadi, and dhaumya the brahmin. When they obtain food they set apart some of it for the holy men and ate the rest. they visited temples, pleasant places, and had trerrible times due to nature as well. some days they would be so tired the bhima would carry them all on his back and under his arms.

Krishnas visit

Krishna came to visit the pandavas in the forest and draupandi lamented before him saying the wcil one duryodhana dared to claim me as his prize and slave. When I was put to shame among many witnesses no one was there to help me. Do i not have husbands to save me? is it not the duty of the husband to protect his wife and none of mine did so to save me. draupadi wept bitter tears. Do not fear draupadi for you will not weep longer said krishna in time you will see the wives of those who have put you to shame lamenting for their dead husabnds and you will once again be queen over kings for I agree to help the pandavas.krishna said to yudhisthira that if he had been at dwaraka when he was called upon to visit hastinapura the unfair match would not have ever taken palace for he would have warned dhritarashtra but sadly he was engaging in war against demons. Draupadi questioned her husband if they do not seek vengance and thier honor back. then tudhishthira spoke saying that anger is sinful and that they should all forvgive evry wrong for it is holy and true. Draupadi questioned how she can be that way and praise a god who would allow for this to happen success comes to those who act

brhima spoke to yud trying to convince him to take action as draupadi spoke of but he refused and spoke how virtue is greater than life and prosperity for he gave his word to his people that he would remain in exile so they all sat there pondering over these things.
